Why you feel like throwing up
The Terror Barrier (It’s Not a Movie Monster)
So, you decided to go for the big goal. You stepped out on faith. You started to act. And then... WHAM.
Panic. Doubt. Fear. Your heart races. Your palms sweat. You suddenly remember a million reasons why this is a terrible idea and you should just go back to watching Netflix.
Congratulations. You have hit the Terror Barrier.
This is not a sign that you are doing something wrong. It is a sign that you are doing something right.
Here is the anatomy of your fear:
You have a paradigm (a bundle of habits) in your subconscious. Let's call it the X-Paradigm. It gives you X-results. You are comfortable there.
Then, you introduce a new, big idea. The Y-Idea. You want wealth. You want freedom.
When you try to mix the Y-Idea with the X-Paradigm, all hell breaks loose in your nervous system. It causes a vibrational conflict. Your body literally rejects the new frequency. It screams, "Go back to safety!"
Most people retreat. They bounce off the Terror Barrier and go back to bondage. They rationalize it. "I'm just being prudent." "I'm being realistic." No, you are being controlled by an old program.
The only way to freedom is to crash through that barrier. You have to Step into the fear. You have to "Do it scared."
When you persist, when you hold the Y-Idea despite the fear, eventually your subconscious adapts. The X-Paradigm dies, and the Y-Paradigm takes over. The terror vanishes, and you are living on a new level.
This is how you grow. If you aren't scared, you aren't growing.
As you keep reading these emails, you are reinforcing the Y-Idea. You are building the strength to endure the discomfort of growth. Success is becoming your new normal.
You will look back and be grateful you clicked the links in my emails, because they gave you the courage to stay in the fire until you were forged into steel.
Now that you know how to handle the internal enemy, it is time to talk about expansion. You don't have to do this alone, and you shouldn't relying on one paycheck.
Tomorrow, we are going to talk about how to multiply your results and your income so you can stop trading time for money.
When was the last time you felt genuine fear before doing something that turned out to be great?
Best,
Bradley Woods
