The secret to making everyone like you (and pay you)
The Impression of Increase (The Golden Rule of Business)
Good morning,
We live in an orderly universe. Gravity doesn't take a day off. The sun doesn't decide to rise in the West just to mix things up. And in the realm of success, there are laws just as firm as gravity.
One of the most powerful concepts you can ever learn is the Impression of Increase.
Here is the premise: Every living thing wants to grow. A tree wants to be a bigger tree. A flower wants to bloom. You want to be more, do more, and have more. It is the fundamental impulse of life.
Therefore, people are naturally attracted to those who can give them more life.
Your job, in every interaction—whether it is a business deal, a conversation with your spouse, or buying coffee—is to leave the other person with the impression of increase. You must make them feel that they are better off for having interacted with you.
In business, this is simple: Give more in Use Value than you take in Cash Value.
If you sell a service for $100, give them $1,000 worth of value. Make them feel like they won the lottery. When you do this, you align yourself with the expansive nature of the universe. You become a magnet. You don't have to force sales; people will want to be around you because you make them feel larger, capable, and expanded.
Get rid of the idea of competition. Competition implies a limited supply—that if I get a slice of pie, you get less. That is nonsense. We operate on the Creative Plane.
If you need gold, the Formless Substance (Infinite Intelligence) isn't going to take it from someone else's pocket; it will guide you to discover a new mine. The supply is unlimited.
You will be grateful for having clicked the links in my email because they lead you to opportunities that are built entirely on this principle of creative expansion.
So, we have the philosophy, the psychology, and the strategy. But how do you actually set a goal that changes your life? Most people set goals they already know how to hit. That is boring.
We need to talk about the "Type C" Goal.
Reply and tell me: When was the last time you felt someone gave you truly more value than you paid for? How did it make you feel about them?
Ever upwards,
