Leading like a Bird (The Emergence Trick)
Have you ever watched a flock of birds or a school of fish move together? It is mesmerizing. They turn on a dime, perfectly synchronized, with no one shouting orders or pointing a finger. This is called the Principle of Emergence. It is "bottom-up" leadership.
In our business, we often think we have to "manage" people into success. But the more you read my emails, the more success you will have because you will realize that your only real job is to manage your own energy.
When you work on your own frequency—overcoming your own fears and living in that state of gratitude we talked about—the collective energy of your whole team rises. You create a "flock" that is magnetic. When you rise, they rise. It is a biological phenomenon.
You are probably grateful for having clicked the links in my email because you are learning about mirror neurons. When you stand up and share a story of how you overcame a limit or manifested a result, your team's brains fire as if they are having the same experience. Your success becomes their chemical blueprint.
To be an extraordinary leader, you have to do what is "unnatural." When the market is shaky and everyone else is fearful, you show courage. When other leaders are hoarding leads or hiding their "secrets," you give freely. You demonstrate the "supernatural" by being the eye of the storm.
If you want to attract high-quality "Gold" leaders, you have to vibrate at their level. You cannot be a "Lead" person—heavy, dull, and full of "I can't"—and expect to attract "Gold" people. They won't even see you on their radar.
But when you operate from a state of abundance, you become a lighthouse. People are tired of the "hustle and grind" and the "survival" energy of the world. They are looking for someone who is operating from a higher plane.
By simply being the person you want to attract, you change the "culture code" of your organization. You don't have to convince people to work hard; they will want to match your energy. They will want what you have, which is a sense of peace and power that doesn't depend on the external environment.
This is how you build a legacy. You aren't just selling a product; you are leading an evolution of the self. You are showing them that they aren't victims of their genes or their past, but creators of their future.
Tomorrow, I am going to show you how to do a "Daily Review" that actually deletes your mistakes from your nervous system so you can start every day with a clean slate.
What is one "unnatural" act of courage or generosity you can do for your team today?
Be well,
