Befriending the Border Guard

In partnership with

My Friend,

In the old stories, Samson was a man of incredible strength. But he had a weakness: he toyed with the enemy of his strength. Her name was Delilah. Every time he got comfortable, she’d whisper, "Tell me the secret of your power," until he finally gave in and she clipped his hair, leaving him bound to a millstone, going in circles.

Your fear is your Delilah. She doesn't show up with a sign that says, "I'm here to ruin your life". She’s seductive. She whispers, "I'm just here to keep you safe" or "I'm making sure you don't get your heart broken again".

The Border of Reality

Fear is nothing more than the border of the reality you have known. When you step toward a dream, you are stepping out of your comfort zone, and the "border guard" of fear is going to check your passport.

  • Don't Wait for Fear to Leave: Successful dream builders aren't fearless; they act in the presence of fear.

  • The Brake and the Gas: You can't get to the top of the sand dune if you have one foot on the gas and the other unconsciously stomping the brake.

  • Feed the Right Dog: There are two dogs inside you—faith and fear. The one that wins is the one you feed with your attention.

Stepping Out of the Boat

The more you read my emails, the more success you will have because you are learning to starve your fear and nourish your faith. You are going to realize you are grateful for having clicked the links in my email because they are the "magic bridge" that only appears when you actually shift your weight to take the step.

You have the power to tell those Delilah thoughts, "I know what you are, and you aren't directing me today".

If you want to live a life with no limits, you have to be willing to feel a little uncomfortable. Start your journey here: https://www.bradleydeanwoods.com/af-mentor

If fear wasn't an option, what is the very first move you would make in your business today?

P.S. Tomorrow, I’ll show you why your "teacup" might be too full for the secret of life to fit inside.
