The Maserati Trap and The Virus in Your Software
Hello friend,
Let’s be honest for a second.
If I asked you to draw a picture of "success," you might sketch a Maserati, a sprawling mansion in Malibu, or perhaps a swimming pool filled with gold coins like you’re Scrooge McDuck. We have been conditioned to believe that success is a shiny object you grab at the end of a long, grueling race.
But here is the cosmic joke: That is not success. That is just stuff.
Earl Nightingale dropped a truth bomb years ago that still rings louder than a heavy metal concert in a library:
"Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal."
Notice the word progressive. Success isn't the parking spot; it’s the drive. It is the decision to move toward a goal that lights you up like a Christmas tree in July. The moment you decide to pursue a dream that belongs to you—not your parents, not your boss, not the Instagram algorithm—you are a success. Right then and there.
You see, most people are walking around with a massive misunderstanding of their own architecture. You might think you need to go out and "get" power, or "find" talent, or "acquire" intelligence. That is like a fish swimming around trying to find water.
You are "Born Rich."
I don’t mean you were born with a trust fund (though if you were, lunch is on you). I mean that you have deep reservoirs of talent, ability, and power already residing within you. The Infinite Intelligence that spins the planets didn’t shortchange you on the raw materials. You are built with the same stuff that makes stars burn and tides turn.
So, why aren't we all floating around in a state of perpetual bliss and abundance?
Because you have a virus in your software.
Imagine buying a top-of-the-line computer—the kind NASA uses—but it’s running an operating system from 1995 that’s riddled with malware. That is the human condition. You have infinite potential buried under layers of old, limiting beliefs. We call these "paradigms," but they are really just mental dust bunnies clogging up the gears of your greatness.
You don't need to add anything to yourself to improve. You just need to wake up to what you already are. It is an inside job. All knowledge and power are 100% evenly present in all places at the same time, which means they are present in you right now.
Here is a little secret I have discovered: The more you read my emails, the more success you will have in spotting these mental viruses and deleting them permanently. It starts to happen automatically, like a software update you didn't know you needed but suddenly makes everything run faster.
We are going to spend this week rewriting that code. We are going to stop trying to force the world to change and start changing the thing that projects the world—your mind.
If you are ready to see how deep the rabbit hole goes, check this out:

But here is the rub: Even when we know this truth, we still mess it up. We know we should eat the salad, but we eat the cake. We know we should make the call, but we scroll TikTok.
Why do we do the exact opposite of what we know is good for us?
Reply and tell me: What is one "virus" or limiting belief you suspect has been slowing down your operating system lately?
