The cosmic programming error, or why you know things but don't do them

In partnership with

I hope you’re having a wonderfully expansive Thursday. I’ve been chuckling this morning about a strange quirk of the human design, which I call the “Knowing-Doing Gap.”

Think about it: most people could write a doctoral thesis on what they should do to be successful—eat better, move more, focus on the goal. Yet, they find themselves stuck, like a vinyl record spinning the same three seconds of music. If success is the direction you choose your life to go, why are so many people pointing north but marching south?

The answer isn't a lack of smarts; it’s a stubborn, deeply ingrained set of software called the Paradigm. This paradigm is the multitude of subconscious habits, memories, and ancestral conditioning running your life on autopilot. It’s like a 1980s mainframe sitting beneath your sleek, modern consciousness. Your consciousness says, "We're going to build a billion-dollar empire!" and the paradigm says, "Hold up, let's just make sure we find that comfortable, well-worn spot on the sofa we always use."

To achieve permanent improvement—to truly deliver who you are—that paradigm has to go. You can’t fight old programming with willpower; you change programming with Repetition. Repetition is the ultimate override switch. It’s the way we plant new, magnificent ideas into the “formless substance” that governs manifestation. We visualize and feel ourselves already in possession of the goal. We speak our Affirmations out loud, written in the present tense: “I am so happy and grateful now that…”

This changes the energy you put out. And when you change your energy, the universe changes its response. Suddenly, your action becomes automatic and explosive, not forced or laborious. It’s no longer movement for the sake of busy-ness; it’s productive action fueled by a necessary sense of urgency. This is the final stage of creation, transforming that internal impression into external expression.

This action should be focused. I recommend planning the day tightly and focusing on your six most important things daily. It’s the difference between wandering the Earth like a lost Wi-Fi signal and being the high-speed fiber cable transmitting pure purpose.

And remember the golden rule of abundance: Money is a reward for service rendered. If you want to attract abundance, move from a competitive mindset to a creative mind—one that recognizes infinite supply. Your job is to make everyone you interact with feel richer and better; this is the Impression of Increase. Be the person who is such a joy to deal with that people feel compelled to send opportunity and energy your way. The more you read my notes on these principles, the more success you’re going to have showing up in your life—watch what happens.

I’ve included something below, I think you'll be grateful for having clicked it.

We are all creative centers, capable of endless development, but we must choose the direction.

What is one habitual routine (part of your current paradigm) you plan to overwrite this week using the power of repetition and present-tense affirmation?

All the best,
