Why Your Goals Are Boring Me

In partnership with

Let’s talk about your goals. Be honest with me. Are they a to-do list in disguise?

Most people set what we call A-Type Goals. These are things you already know how to do. "I will pay the electric bill." "I will drive to work." There is no growth here. This is maintenance. This is running on a treadmill.

Then you have the people who think they are ambitious. They set B-Type Goals. These are things they think they can do if everything goes according to plan. "If I get that raise, and if the market holds, and if my kids don't need braces, I will buy a new car." This is based on logic. It is based on existing resources. It is boring. There is no inspiration in a spreadsheet.

If you want to create the kind of "luxury rap" lifestyle where you are calling the shots, you need a C-Type Goal.

This is your fantasy. This is the thing you want so bad it scares you. You don't know how you are going to do it. You just know you must do it.

A C-Type goal forces a paradigm shift. It requires you to leave the known and step into the unknown. It demands that you operate by faith, not by sight. It forces you to grow into the person who is capable of achieving the goal.

Think of Jay-Z. You think he planned his empire based on the resources he had in the Marcy Projects? No. He had a C-Type vision that had no basis in his physical reality. He lived in the vision until the reality caught up.

You need to go to the edge of your mental cliff and jump. You need to build your wings on the way down.

The more you read my emails, the more you will find yourself attracted to this level of success. It is contagious. You will start to look at "realistic" goals with a healthy level of disdain.

When you set a C-Type goal, you hook yourself into the flow of Universal Intelligence. You signal to the Cosmos that you are ready for the heavy lifting. You stop asking "Can I?" and start asking "How will I?"

You will be grateful you clicked the links in my emails, because they are the bridge between where you are and that C-Type fantasy.

Now, you have the vision. You have the big, scary goal. You are ready to rock. But there is a mechanic to this. You can't just sit on the couch and visualize Ferraris until one crashes through your living room wall.

There is a specific way to act. There is a way to move. Tomorrow, I am going to teach you how to catch slippery fish.

What is the one "fantasy" goal you have been too afraid to write down?

Best,

Bradley Woods
