Stop Dragging Harry

In partnership with

My Friend,

There is a joke about two guys golfing. They’re moving incredibly slowly. Finally, they get to the clubhouse and the pro asks, "What took so long?" One guy sighs, "Well, on the second hole, Harry had a heart attack. After that, it was hit the ball and drag Harry... hit the ball and drag Harry".

It’s a dark joke, but most of us are playing the game of life dragging a "Harry" behind us. Harry is the dead weight of old titles, childhood stories, and limiting ideas like "I'm not smart enough" or "I'm not lovable".

Shedding the Dead Weight

You cannot build a dream while hauling around a corpse. Harry is exhausting. He takes up all the mental energy you need for your future.

  • The "Werewolf" Pattern: We often carry learned behaviors—like rage or reactivity—that we think are part of us.

  • The Power to Respond: You have "Response-Ability"—the choice to push the pause button and decide how to act instead of just reacting to the same old triggers.

  • The Roar of Awakening: Like a tiger who grew up thinking he was a goat, you might choke on the truth of your power at first. But once you taste it, you roar.

A New Identity

The more you read my emails, the more success you will have because you are learning to set Harry down for good. You are going to realize you are grateful for having clicked the links in my email because you are finally trading your old, tattered cloak for the satin of your true potential.

You are not your personality, and you are not your history. You are a spiritual being having a human adventure. It is time to stop identifying with the "teen mom" or "failed businessman" titles and start designing the architect of your own life.

What is one "title" or label from your past that you are officially retiring today?

P.S. Tomorrow, I’ll introduce you to Delilah—she’s seductive, she’s sneaky, and she’s trying to cut your hair while you sleep.
